Question: What is God’s design for a family?
Answer: God’s design for a family is one man, one woman and their children.

FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 2 – A FATHER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
Question: What is God’s design for a father?
Answer: God’s design for a father is to lead his family, love his wife, and bring his children up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4 (NIV) 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 3 – A MOTHER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
Question: What is God’s design for a mother?
Answer: God’s design for a mother is to empower her husband to lead, manage the home, and help raise the righteous.
Titus 2:3-5 (NIV) 3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 4 – CHILDREN’S RESPONSIBILITIES
Question: What is God’s design for children?
Answer: God’s design for a child is to know Christ, obey authority and grow up to lead in society.
Ephesians 6:1-3 (NIV) 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 "Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise-- 3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 5 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE TO GET RID OF ANGER
Question: What are we to do with anger?
Answer: Our responsibility is to get rid of man’s anger and be kind to one another.
Ephesians 4:31-32 (NIV) 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 6 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE AN ALTAR
Question: Where should we go when dissension and disunity arise in our family?
Answer: Our responsibility is to come to the altar and heal the issues in our family?
Numbers 6:24-27 (NIV) 24 "' "The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; 26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."' 27 "So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 7 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE TO TEACH DISCIPLINE
Question: What should we do when our home is getting out of order?
Answer: Our responsibility is to discipline ourselves to fulfill God’s purposes.
Hebrews 12:11 (NIV) 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 8 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE TO TEACH FINANCES
Question: How should Christians view debt?
Answer: Christians should do all they can to get out of and stay out of debt.
Proverbs 22:7 (NIV) 7 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 9 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE TO PRACTICE HOSPITALITY
Question: How should Christians view their homes?
Answer: Christians should use their homes as ministry centers.
Romans 12:13 (NIV) 13 Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
FAMILY GOVERNMENT LIFE TRUTH # 10 – THE FAMILY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HEALTHCARE
Question: How should Christians view the needy?
Answer: Christians should provide for those in need, especially in their immediate family.
1 Timothy 5:8 (NIV) 8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
